Cause of stress and problems

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.
Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups – porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite ones.
Telling them to help themselves to hot coffee. When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: “If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.
What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups and were eying each others’ cups. Now if life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, but the quality of Life doesn’t change. Some times, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee in it.”
So, what drives you? Coffee or cup? Think about it…. And enjoy your cup of Coffee….

Short Temper

While Dad was polishing his new car, his four-yr old son picked up a stone & scratched lines on the side of the car.
In his anger, Dad took the child’s hand & hit it many times, not realizing he was using a wrench,
At d hospital, his child said, “Dad, when will my fingers grow back?”. Dad was so hurt.

He went back to the car and kicked it a lot of times. Sitting back, he looked at d scratches. child wrote

“I LOVE YOU DAD”.

ANGER & LOVE have no limits ……………

Many times people don’t understand their loved ones and they take wrong decisions hastily and make wrong actions impulsively that would ultimately be destructive to themselves

A touching story

This is truely a beautiful Story,

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw the lady in the
cashier hand this little boy some money back.

The boy couldn’t have been more than 8 or 9 years old.

The Cashier said, ‘I’m sorry, but you don’t have enough money to buy this doll.’

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ”Nanny,
are you sure I don’t have enough money?”

The old lady replied: ”You know that you don’t have enough money to
buy this doll, my dear.”

Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to
look around for a cheaper one. She left quickly.

The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.

‘It’s the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for Christmas.

She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her.’

I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after
all, and not to worry.

But he replied to me sadly. ‘No, Santa Claus can’t bring it to her
where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mummy so that she can
give it to my sister when she goes there.’

His eyes were so sad while saying this. ‘My Sister has gone to be with
God. Daddy says that Mummy is going to see God very soon too, so I
thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister
.”

My heart nearly stopped.

The little boy looked up at me and said: ‘I told daddy to tell mummy
not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the shops.’

Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He
then told me ‘I want mummy to take my picture with her so she won’t
forget me…..’

‘I love my mummy and I wish she didn’t have to leave me, but daddy
says that she has to go to be with my little sister.’

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. ‘Suppose we check
again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll!”

‘OK’ he said, ‘I hope I do have enough.’ I added some of my money to
his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough
for the doll and even some spare money.

The little boy said: ‘Thank you God for giving me enough money!’

Then he looked at me and added, ‘I asked last night before I went to
sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so
that mummy could give it to my sister . He heard me!”

‘I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mummy,
but I didn’t dare to ask God for too much.. But He gave me enough to
buy the doll and a white rose.”

‘My mummy loves white roses.’

As I saw the old lady returning, I left with my basket as to not cause a scene.

I finished my shopping in a totally different state of mind from when
I started…

I couldn’t get the little boy out of my mind.
Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which
mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young
woman and a little girl.
The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical
state. The family had to decide whether to remove the life-sustaining
machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the
coma.

Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news
paper that the young woman had passed away.

I couldn’t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went
to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people
to see and make last wishes before her burial.

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her
hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her
chest.

I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed
for ever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his
sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine.

And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.

Now you have 2 choices:

1) Send this message to others, or

2) Ignore it as if it never touched your heart.

For those who prefer to think that God is not watching over us…. go
ahead and delete this… For the rest of us… pass this on…

The value of a man or woman resides in what he or she gives, not in
what they are capable of receiving

Moon, Jupiter and Venus – A rare celestial event of 2008

These are the pictures of a rare celestial event of 2008 in which Moon, Jupiter and Venus created a triangle, as seen from earth, in the evening sky for a few days. This happened on 1st Dec 2008. However, as time passes the moon separated itself further every day. This event will not be seen again until sometime in the 2050’s. I took these photos at Ruparel College grounds, Matunga, Mumbai from my 40x zoom Sony handycam.

Daggubati Purandeswari, assistant minister of human resources, Government of India, is the most competent leader, who deserves to be the next chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. After the sad demise, of Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy, she is the most eligible successor for the post.
Indian prime minster Dr. Manmohan Singh described Mrs. Purandewari as one of the “finest minds” of his cabinet and says he is proud to have her in his government. According to Dr. Manmohan Singh, Mrs. Purandeswari is a leader that any nation can be proud of. If Smt. Purandeswari becomes Andhra chief minster, she will revolutionze Indian politics and will lead the state and the country into a new era and a positive direction.

Purandeswari, a finest mind in my government – Manmohan Singh

PTI reports that HRD Minister Kapil Sibal and his deputy D Purandeswari today received wholesome praise from Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who described them as being a team of “finest minds” in the government.

In a rare public appreciation, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Tuesday praised Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Kapil Sibal and his deputy D. Purandeswari as “finest minds”, who are working hard for “nation building”.
“Our government attaches the highest importance to human resource development. That is why some of the finest minds in our government have been chosen as ministers for this very important and prestigious ministry,” Manmohan Singh said while launching the Rs.65 billion literacy mission ‘Saakshar Bharat’.
“Both Shri Kapil Sibal and Smt. D. Purandeswari constitute a team of which any country can be legitimately proud of as nation builders,” he added.
Manmohan Singh, who read out his speech, spoke extempore while praising both the ministers. Though the hard copy of the written speech provided to the media did not have these remarks about Sibal and his deputy, the prime minister’s office issued a soft copy of his statement adding the extempore.
The prime minister said the new mission with a five-year mandate will “significantly reduce illiteracy” in India, particularly among women. “I hope this new program will be even more successful than its precursor, the National Literacy Mission.”
“Education empowers. Education liberates. Education ennobles. Education helps nations to march forward, helps them to progress socially and economically. In our efforts to remove persistent hunger, poverty and disease, education is a very valuable instrument. And literacy is the first step in imparting education,” he added.
